NAB summoned a prominent PPP leader along with others

National Institute of Cardiology NICVD Scandal Investigation carried out by NAB.

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has expanded its probe into the National Institute of Cardiology (NICVD) scandal. NAB has summoned Assembly member Shehla Raza on July 12. Senator Jam Mehtab Dahar and Senator Dr Skand Mand along with Assembly member Dr Sohrab Sarki have also been summoned on July 12. The governing body has been summoned.
NAB probe into illegal recruitment and contracts at National Institute of Cardiology in Karachi reveals important revelations.

NAB completed preliminary investigations with NICVD Director HR Dawar Hussain, Chief Operating Officer Azra Maqsood and Consultant Haider Awan. Haider Awan testified before the investigation team. Haider Awan revealed in the investigation that salaries are being paid from charitable funds. Chief Operating Officer NICVD Azra Maqsood has no experience in hospital management. It has also been revealed that he was recruited as Chief Operating Officer Grade 20 on ad hoc basis in 2015 and became permanent in 6 months. Haider Awan failed to submit his BA credentials and consultancy reports despite NAB’s written instructions. Haider Awan and Azra Maqsood refused to provide further records.
