Nas Daily founder says ‘I’m Israeli first, Palestinian second’

Arab-Israeli vlogger and online influencer Nuseir Yassin, known to his millions of followers as founder of the popular online community “Nas Daily,” expressed on Monday to his community that he supports Israel during the war with Gaza.

Yassin declared that as someone who had formerly identified as a “Palestinian-Israeli,” he now views himself as an Israeli first. “I do not want to live under a Palestinian government,” he wrote in a post he shared in the online platforms of his community.

“For the longest time, I struggled with my identity. A Palestinian kid born inside Israel,” he wrote in a post on X (formerly Twitter) that has since been shared by millions. “Many of my friends refuse to this day to say the word ‘Israel’ and call themselves ‘Palestinian’ only. But since I was 12, that did not make sense to me. So I decided to mix the two and become a ‘Palestinian-Israeli.’ I thought this term reflected who I was. Palestinian first. Israeli second.”
