NASA: The most powerful telescope named as The James Webb Space Telescope is scheduled to launch on December 18.

The James Webb Space Telescope will look into the atmospheres of exoplanets, some of which have the potential of being habitable, and will help us to look even deeper into the universe than we’ve ever been able to before.

This mission has took many years to complete. The concept for the telescope was first given in 1989, to be a successor to Hubble , actual work started on it in 2004. At long last, the telescope which is 100 times more powerful than Hubble, is ready to be launched.
A formal recommendation to build a space-based infrared telescope was issued in 1996. The construction was completed in 2019; all that was left was to assemble the parts which took two years to complete.

The whole procedure cost NASA $8.8 billion. The total bill is more than $9.66 billion.
