Nasla Tower Case: Police raid SBCA office in Karachi #Baaghi

After registering a case against the government officials over irregularities in the construction of Nasla Tower in Karachi, the police once again raided the office of Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA).

According to the details, a First Information Report (FIR) has been registered at Ferozabad police station on the orders of the Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP) against officers of SBCA, officials of Sindhi Muslim Cooperative Housing Society (SMCHS) and other concerned bodies.

After the case was registered, the Karachi police investigation team led by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) investigation Altaf Hussain conducted the raid at the SBCA headquarters and interrogated officials concerned.

A heavy police contingent cordoned the building before the teams entered the rooms of Director Admin Mushtaq Ibrahim and Director Design Farhan Qaiser.

According to the police, the raid was conducted after police found out the presence of some of the people nominated in the Nasla Tower case. The personnel reached the SBCA office where the investigating officers will interrogate the persons named in the FIR.

It may be recalled that during the hearing in the Supreme Court yesterday regarding the demolition of Nasla Tower, the court had ordered that the anti-corruption department should register a case against the responsible officers while the police should register a separate case against the officers involved.
