Islamabad, 22nd May: Government of Pakistan wants to ensure that Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are implemented during the Eid holidays, amid virus fears.
According to Baaghi TV, as the Eid-Ul-Fitr leaves start, and the country goes on holidays, there is a department that is working tirelessly round the clock to ensure the safety of the citizens.
The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) that was formed to calculate and keep a vigilant eye on the daily record of the coronavirus cases reported in Pakistan is in action today too.
The National Command and Control Centre holds daily meetings to review coronavirus situations, make key decisions on reports regarding the number of patients and deaths, including ease in the lockdowns.
COVID-19: Virus continues to gain speed in Pakistan
As per sources, NCOC is in its daily morning situation meeting and carrying out the task to ensure Eid SOPs implementation and particularly about precautions & social distancing.
The government has allowed performing Eid prayers in the open on Eid with SOPs to follow strictly. On the other hand, due to the easing of lockdown, the number of patients is also increasing. Today, more than 2,600 patients have come forward which is a record number of patients in Pakistan. There were 50 deaths in 24 hours.
It is requested to the citizens to cooperate with the government and adhere to the rules set for their safety and the safety of their loved ones.
