Petrol, diesel prices hit all-time high after fresh hike

She said that she could not defend this price hike and stood with the people in this testing time.

Maryam Nawaz dropped a bombshell inside information of PMLN and government bigwigs meeting in which it was being decided what to do and what not to do about the petrol price hike.

Maryam said Mr Nawaz Sharif, her father and thrice prime minister of Pakistan, did not approve the price hike of petrol per litre and left the virtual meeting and went away.

This is the first official confirmation about the internal differences among the government ranks and PMLN policy makers.

Maryam Nawaz Sharif and Nawaz Sharif wanted to ease burden on people while Shehbaz Sharif led coalition government and his top financial manager of country Miftah Ismael have been perusing the rationalist pathway in the backdrop of the first tranche of the IMF and decided to increase the petrol price.

PTI has been repeatedly opposing the price hike of POIL products and now Nawaz Sharif has also open disapproved the price hike. This has put the Miftah Ismael and PM Shehbaz Sharif in a difficult position.
