As soon as Shehbaz Sharif became the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader Mian Nawaz Sharif started preparations for his return home right after Eid.
According to the details, as soon as the situation became favourable, Nawaz Sharif started preparations for repatriation. PML-N sources said that Nawaz Sharif will return to Pakistan after Eid and will face the verdicts of Pakistani courts. Earlier, rumors were circulating that Sharif would return home if the no-confidence motion was successful.
A senior party leader Mian Javed Latif said a decision on PML-N supremo and the three-time prime minister Sharif’s anticipated return will be discussed with the coalition partners.
Sources said that former Prime Minister will leave for Saudi Arabia at the end of April if the no-confidence motion is successful and is likely to return home in the first week of May. It should be noted that Nawaz Sharif has been staying in London for almost two years for treatment.
Several corruption cases have been launched by the government of Prime Minister Khan against the 72-year-old supremo of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz since his ouster from the office by the Supreme Court in July 2017 in the Panama Papers case. Sharif was also given bail in the Al-Azizia Mills corruption case in which he was serving seven-year imprisonment in Lahore’s Kot Lakhpat jail.
Sharif’s return to Pakistan has again made headlines in the country after ex-prime minister Khan became the first premier in the country’s history to be voted out of power through a no-confidence motion held early Sunday.
Yesterday, Nawaz Sharif’s brother Shehbaz Sharif was elected the 23rd Prime Minister of Pakistan. Later, due to the short leave of President Dr. Arif Alvi, Chairman Senate and Acting President Sadiq Sanjarani administered the oath of office of Prime Minister to Shehbaz Sharif.
