Lahore, 28th June: NCOC Session, chaired by Minister for Planning Development and Special Initiatives, co-chaired by National Coordinator Lt Gen Hamood uz Zaman Khan was held today.

The forum took a detailed review of the current disease situation in the country and corresponding NPIs were carried out.

The forum agreed on the implementation of the undermentioned NPIs/decisions. These decisions will be implemented from 1st July to 31st July 2021 with a review on 27th July 2021 at NCOC.

1. a. Business Timings. Market/business activities will continue till 10:00 pm. However, essential services i.e. Petrol Pumps, Pharmacies/Medical Facilities, Vaccination Center, Milk/Dahi Shops, Tandoors and Takeaways are allowed 24/7.

b. Dining
(1) Indoor & outdoor dining is allowed till 11:59 pm. However, indoor dining at 50% occupancy is allowed for vaccinated individuals only.
(2) Restaurants/hotels management will institute a mechanism for checking of vaccination certificates of guests and will also ensure vaccination of respective management/staff. Takeaways are allowed 24/7.

c. Marriages
(1) Outdoor marriages/functions allowed with 400 x guests with strict COVID SOPs.
(2) Indoor Marriages allowed only for vaccinated individuals with a maximum guest limit of 200 x guests. Wedding halls association/management will institute a mechanism for checking of vaccination certificates of guests and will also ensure vaccination of respective management/staff.

d. Religious. Shrines are allowed to re-open at the discretion of federating units/local district administration; while adherence to strict COVID SOPs.

e. Cinemas. Cinemas are allowed to re-open with strict COVID protocols for vaccinated individuals only till 01:00 AM. Cinemas management will institute a mechanism for checking vaccination certificates of visitors and will also ensure vaccination of respective management/staff.

2. NPIs continue to remain enforced

a. Extended Lockdowns: Broader lockdowns with stringent enforcement protocols based on risk assessment will continue. NCOC will regularly share heat maps with federating units for the implementation of lockdowns.
b. Gatherings: Ban on all types of indoor/outdoor gatherings including cultural, musical/religious/miscellaneous events will continue.

c. Office Routine: Continuation of normal working hours for public/private offices with 100 % attendance.

d. Sports. Continuation of a ban on contact sports (Karate, Boxing, Martial Arts, Rugby, Water Polo, Kabaddi & Wrestling), festivals, cultural and other events.

e. Gyms: (1) Reopening of indoor Gyms only for vaccinated individuals/members. Mandatory vaccination of Gym staff/management will be the sole responsibility of the owner.
(2) Gyms management will institute a mechanism for checking of vaccination certificates of visitors and will also ensure vaccination of respective management/staff.

f. Public Transport: Public transport is allowed to operate with 70% occupancy with strict COVID SOPs/mandatory wearing of masks.

g. Railways: Rail services are allowed to operate with 70% occupancy with strict COVID SOPs/mandatory wearing of masks.

h. Closed Days: There will be 1 x closed day during a week. The selection of closed days will be at the discretion of federating units.

i. Recreation: Amusement parks, water sports & swimming pools to continue activities at 50 % capacity.

j. Mask Wearing: Compliance with compulsory mask-wearing by all federating units while incorporating innovative measures for enforcement.

k. Inbound Passenger policy: Current inbound passenger policy will continue till further orders.

l. Tourism: Policy on tourism will be issued separately.

3. Summer Vacation in Education Sector: Observance of summer vacation in the education sector will be at the discretion of respective federating units. No session is scheduled at NCOC for discussion on summer vacations.

4. NADRA Vaccination Verification Mechanism: Vaccination certificates can now be verified by the following methods:-
a. Entering serial /certificate number mentioned on Immunization Certificate for COVID-19 at nims.nadra.gov.pk website.
b. By scanning QR code on Immunization Certificate by smartphone.
c. SMS CNIC number to 1166
