NCOC announces the date for reopening universities
Islamabad, 27th January: The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has announced to open the universities across Pakistan. Baaghi TV: NCOC on Wednesday has decided to reopen universities across the country from February 1 which were shut down due to the spread of COVID-19 during its second wave. Asad Umar chaired a session of the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) today which was attended by Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Health Dr Faisal Sultan, Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood, health secretary, DRAP head Dr Asif Rauf and others senior officials too. During the session, Umar and others were apprised with the number of coronavirus cases in the educational institutions and the implementation of the standard operation procedures (SOPs). The stakeholders were also consulted during the session to consider the resumption of academic activities in schools. After the session, the NCOC decided to reopen varsities across the country from February 1.
