NCOC decides to seal Pakistan-Iran border

Lahore, 2nd May: Pakistan borders with Iran and Afghanistan will be sealed due to the surge in coronavirus cases across the country.
According to the instructions issued by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), borders with Iran and Afghanistan will be closed on May 4 and 5 at 1 pm.
Land Border Management with Afghanistan and Iran reviewed the situation to prevent new types and variations of coronavirus, NCOC informed.
NCOC added that the purpose of the review is to ensure corona protocol at the borders.
It further said that the revised policy will take effect from 1:00 pm on May 4 and 5 and will remain in effect until the night of May 19 and 20.
It is further advised that the revised policy will apply to people coming by land and will not be applicable to cargo, bilateral trade and Pak-Afghan trade.
It is further informed that the Border Terminals will remain open 7 days a week.
Border terminals are advised to increase the number of healthcare workers and law enforcement personnel for the convenience of people.
