NCOC eased restrictions in 8 most vaccinated districts

The National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) has relaxed the coronavirus lockdown in eight top most vaccinated cities.

Reports show, the NCOC has issued a notification to ease the COVID-19 restrictions in eight district, which includes Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Quetta, Muzaffarabad and Mirpur. The center has written to the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Education, Railways, Ministry of Information, Religious Affairs, and Civil Aviation.

According to the letter, indoor events will be conditionally allowed in the districts, and only 200 people will be able to participate, on the condition that they have been vaccinated, while 400 people can participate in outdoor events.

NCOC has decided that the Cinema halls in the eight districts with soft restrictions will remain closed, while karate, boxing, martial arts, water polo, kabaddi and wrestling will be banned.

In these districts, food courts will be open till 12 o’clock at night, and only 50% of the people will be able to enter, while outdoor seating has no limits. However, the people who want to dine-in must be vaccinated. Takeaway facility will be available 24 hours in these districts.

According to the NCOC, indoor weddings will be conditionally allowed in these districts, with only 200 vaccinated people allowed to attend, while 400 people will be able to attend outdoor weddings. The provincial governments will decide to open shrines in these districts, it will also decide on a weekly holiday. The business activities will continue till 10 pm, whereas the offices will be allowed to work with 100% staff.

According to the letter, vaccinated people in these districts will be allowed to go to indoor gyms and educational institutions will implement half-attendance, 3-day policy. Inbound passenger policy will continue, food and drinks will be allowed in domestic flights; however, the passengers will have to wear masks.

According to the NCOC, swimming pools and parks in these districts will be open with 50% numbers, and strict measures will be taken for the use of masks. The intercity transport will be allowed to run for 70 days, only vaccinated people will use intercity transport. The ban on serving food to passengers on public transport will remain in place, while 70% of passengers will be allowed to board the train.
