NCOC issues an 8-step process to get vaccinated

Lahore, 27th January: The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has issued guidelines for an 8-step process for the citizens to get vaccinated against the coronavirus disease.

Baaghi TV: During the session on Wednesday, NCOC outlined the strategy for vaccinating the citizens against COVID-19.

NCOC said that once the vaccine becomes available, an eight-step process for registration and vaccination will start while it also decided that all educational institutions would reopen as per schedule.

The NCOC said in a statement that the strategy was developed after consultation with all provinces and relevant associates and was according to established international health guidelines.

It said, “The purpose of the strategy is to vaccinate people in a healthy environment and in accordance with health guidelines through a concrete plan.”

“The forum revealed that an online portal, National Immunisation Management System (NIMS) has been created which will be operated by the NCOC. Human interaction within the portal will be minimised to keep the system transparent,” it added.

As per reports, several Adult Vaccine Centres (AVC) have been established across the country which will be run by the National Vaccination and Administration Control Cell (NVACC).

The NCOC statement said that coordination cells have also been established at provincial and district levels.

According to reports, Pakistan has approved three coronavirus vaccines so far, which include the Russian-developed Sputnik V, the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine and the Chinese vaccine SinoPharm.

As per earlier reports by Baaghi TV, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi announced last week that China has promised to provide 500,000 doses of a COVID-19 vaccine to Pakistan by January 31.

It was also decided in today’s session by the NCOC that universities across the country will resume their on-campus education from February 1.
