Lahore, 19th May: National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) is holding an important meeting to review school closure and other restrictions in the country.

According to reports, NCOC will hold an important session on Wednesday to decide on the opening of schools and whether or not to impose additional restrictions in the country.

NCOC chief Asad Umar is presiding over the meeting today to review the current situation of coronavirus in Pakistan.

Provincial chief secretaries, other members of the government, and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Health Dr. Faisal Sultan is also present in today’s meeting.

The decision will, however, be taken by the details provided by the chief secretaries of the provinces.

It is to be noted that NCOC had earlier imposed a countrywide lockdown before Eid-ul-Fitr from May 8 till May 16, 2021.

According to the latest reports, the death toll in Pakistan reached 20,000 after 104 new deaths were reported from COVID-19 on Wednesday.
