Feb 11, 2022: According to data from the NCOC, Pakistan achieved another milestone of vaccinating 2.24 million people against Covid-19 in a single day as it rushed to curb the spread of the corona virus.
In a tweet on Friday, Planning, Development and Special Measures Minister Asad Umar announced that more than two million people were being vaccinated daily in the country over the past four days.
The head of the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) tweeted, “3 out of 4 Pakistanis have received at least 1 dose for vaccination. 58% have been fully vaccinated. Congratulations Pakistan,” National Command The head of the Operations Center (NCOC) tweeted.
According to the NCOC, 194,429,756 doses of vaccine have been given in the country so far.

On the other hand, Pakistan reported a minor decline in the coronavirus positivity ratio during the last 24 hours, the official data showed Friday morning. the country conducted 58,077 tests during the last 24 hours, out of which 3,498 came out positive. The positivity ratio was recorded at 6.02% during the last 24 hours, while there are 82,368 active cases with 1,663 critical Covid-19 cases.
So far, the country has reported over 1.477 million positive cases. Additonally, in the the last 24 hours, the virus claimed 39 more lives, taking the death toll to 29,687. The country also recorded 5,761 recoveries from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, taking the total number to 1,365,518.
On the other hand, the NCOC on January 27 extended COVID-19 restrictions in cities with high positive ratios until February 15, with the announcement that the next review would take place on February 10, as the fifth wave fuled from Omicron raged across the country. The forum announced strict restrictions for cities with high incidence of disease.
Some of the cities with a positivity higher than 10% include; Mirpur — 10.38%, Muzaffarabad — 19.74%, Gilgit — 23.17%, Skardu — 12.73%, Abotabad — 15.21%, Mardan — 13.89% and, Hyderabad — 18.85%.
