Feb 7, 2022: According to data from the NCOC, on Monday that 3,338 people tested positive for coronavirus during the last 24 hours, the lowest since January 12 when 3,019 positive cases were detected.
Data from the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) on Monday morning showed that Pakistan’s COVID-19 positive ratio fell to 7.45% in a single day as the number of fresh cases in the country dropped sharply overnight.

The new cases, however, pushed Pakistan’s total coronavirus case count to 1,463,111.
Meanwhile, after a modest decline of two days, COVID-19 mortality rates across the country increased as 38 more people lost their lives to the virus in the last 24 hours. The death toll from the corona virus in the country has risen to 29,516. In addition, 4,905 people recovered from the disease overnight, a significant increase from the total number of reported recoveries so far.
Additionally, the NCOC said that 1,842,955 doses were administered to the people during the last 24 hours, taking the total to 185,916,838.
“38% of total population and 56% of eligible population stand vaccinated!” NCOC tweeted.

Pakistan has set a new Corona virus vaccination record as more people follow the advice of Dr. Faisal Sultan, Pakistan’s Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Health, who asked Pakistanis to be vaccinated. Asad Umar, head of the NCOC, said on Sunday that Pakistan was setting the highest daily vaccination record for three consecutive days.
Umar shared that the nationwide mobile vaccination campaign, designed by the NCOC and “being implemented with the help of the provinces, is yielding excellent results”.
Earlier, Dr. Faisal Sultan has asked the people to not procastinate and to get their booster shots. As Pakistan is battling the fifth COVID-19 wave led by Omicron, Dr. Faisal Sultan urged the people to get vaccinated.
