As Omicron fears rise, NCOC issues fresh directives for flights from UK to Pakistan

April 6, 2021: According to a report by Baaghi TV, a meeting of the NCOC is underway in which suggestions have been made regarding further closure of educational institutions.

In the NCOC meeting, a proposal has been made to keep educational institutions closed till Eid. In the meeting, Sindh has also agreed on the proposal to keep educational institutions closed till Eid. Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani said that educational institutions will be closed till Eid. Corona cases are on the rise, which cannot be ignored, where the rate of cases is higher, the same educational institutions should be closed.

In the meeting, Punjab Education Minister Murad Rass said that the loss of education for students is disturbing, only institutions in high risk areas should be closed, the conference agreed to take exams after the Eid holidays. Islamabad had proposed to keep the educational institutions closed for a few more days and it was said that the educational institutions should not be reopened till the number of corona cases in Islamabad is reduced.

It may be recalled that earlier on November 26 last year, it was announced that educational institutions across the country would be closed due to the second wave of corona virus and its escalation in Pakistan. Earlier, after the first closure on March 23 last year, educational institutions were reopened in phases from December 15 last year.
