NCOC urges govt employees to ensure SOPs in offices

ISLAMABAD: Coronavirus cases are rising sharply across Pakistan, as the NCOC has decided to issue covid-19 standard operating procedures (SOPs) in government offices. 

According to NCOC, all government employees will be briefed regarding coronavirus SOPs. All staff will ensure implementation of SOPs to their families as well as themselves. In addition, wearing masks will be made compulsory in offices. During obligatory prayers, social distancing will be ensured and hand sanitization will be used on all internal and external routes of offices.

It has also been directed that the administration of the offices will take special care and ensure that all emplyees are vaccinated. The NCOC has said that shaking hands should be avoided in government offices and the temperature of all employees will be checked before entering the building. No staff will be allowed to enter offices in case their temperature is found above normal and it will be prohibited to enter offices without a mask.

Any staff should report to their seniors if they’re experiencing signs of cough, cold and fever symptoms and all tests should be conducted immediately. Anyone who catches the virus must fully recover from it and should not come to office until his/her test comes negative.

According to the National Health Organization (NHO), 119 coronavirus patients are in critical condition. In Quetta, 6 new cases of corona virus were reported in the last 24 hours, with the positivity rate of the virus in Balochistan going up to 2.21 percent.
