Nelson Mandela Int’l Day being observed today

Nelson Mandela International Day is being observed today to celebrate the life and legacy of Nelson Mandela, the first black president of South Africa.

Nelson Mandela devoted his life to the service of humanity as a human rights lawyer, an international peacemaker and the first democratically elected president of a free South Africa.

On Mandela Day,  people around the world are inspired to take action and bring about change by making a difference in their communities and make the world a better place to live.
