The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has approved to increase the price of electricity by Rs. 1.90 per unit for one month.
An approval notification has been issued for the May fuel price adjustment, according to which the price increase will be applicable on the bills for the month of July.
The CPPA had requested an increase of Rs 2.05 paise per unit while Nepra had heard the request for fuel price adjustment on July 5.
According to the notification, it will be applicable to all consumers of discos except Lifeline and electric vehicle charging stations, while the increase will not be applicable to electric consumers.
