New COVID-19 cases reported across Pakistan: NIH

LAHORE (15 October 2022): Thirty-six new Coronavirus cases have been reported across Pakistan, with no deaths in the last 24 hours confirmed by the National Institute of Health (NIH), Pakistan.

According to the data released by the NIH, a total of 1,573,319 people have been affected by COVID-19, while 30,620 have died because of it. The percentage of deaths has been recorded as 2%.

During the last 24 hours, 10,768 tests were conducted for the diagnosis of Corona, while the ratio of positive cases was 0.33 percent. The total number of tests has reached 30,666,417, while 27 patients of Corona are in intensive care. According to UNICEF; Coronavirus is spread by small droplets of secretions released from the cough or sneeze of an infected person and by touching the surface of things that have been contaminated with the coronavirus. The virus can survive on the surface of these things for several hours, but it can also be eliminated with a general disinfectant solution.
