New generation should be aware of Pakistan Day importance: Commissioner

 

LAHORE: Commissioner Lahore Capt. (Retd) Muhammad Usman said that Pakistan Day is the foundation of Pakistan and new generation should be aware of its importance.
Commissioner Lahore said that the resolution presented on 23rd Mach,1947 and the Muslims of India made it a reality with their blood.
Commissioner Lahore Captain (Retd) Muhammad Usman participated in a marathon and bicycle rally on Pakistan Day. Hundreds of students of Model Town Club and DPS Model Town participated in Pakistan Sports Day. Cyclists competed in Pakistan Cycle Rally. Commissioner Lahore Captain (Retd) Muhammad Usman started the Pakistan Day rally by cycling himself. The five kilometer circle of Model Town was completed in the marathon running race. More than 300 students between the ages of 10 and 16 participated in the competitions. Each category was given a different color. 370 cyclists participated in the cycle rally and 325 runners participated in the running race. Commissioner Lahore also distributed prizes among the participants of the competitions.

Meanwhile, Commissioner Lahore Capt. (Retd) Muhammad Usman said that every patriotic Pakistani should be aware of the tireless struggle started from the 23rd March,1947 to the establishment of Pakistan. He said that the resolution presented on Pakistan Day was won by the Muslims of India by sprinkling their blood on their objective of separate homeland for Muslims. A second cycle rally in the city was organized on the occasion of Pakistan Day under the leadership of Commissioner Lahore Captain (Retd) Muhammad Usman. All cyclist clubs of Lahore participated in Pakistan Day Rally from Quaid-e-Azam Library to Minar Pakistan. A large number of male and female cyclists participated in the Pakistan Day Cycle Rally. Commissioner Lahore also completed the round of Pakistan Cycle Rally.
Meanwhile, On the instructions of DGPR Punjab, Saman Rai, a function was organized in the Regional Information Office Lahore Division on the occasion of Pakistan Day. The cake was cut on the occasion of the 82nd anniversary of the resolution of Pakistan. Officers, staff and interns attended the event. The commitment to work hard for the development of Pakistan was renewed. On this occasion, the Director Lahore Division said that the Pakistan Resolution is a resolution of the spirit for sacrifices of the Muslims of India. Under DGPR Punjab, Pakistan Day celebrations are being held in all divisional offices.
