Prime Minister Imran Khan has reportedly partially agreed to change Usman Buzdar and said that after the no-confidence motion, Buzdar will be removed but the coalition parties and the opposition want an immediate change of Buzdar. According to reports, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi of the PML-Q (Pakistan Muslim League-Q) was assured by the opposition parties that he would be made the Chief Minister, in which case he would support the opposition. After which Pervez Elahi also looks dissatisfied with the government.

According to informed sources, Buzdar’s visit to Punjab has also come to a halt. After his departure, two important names from Punjab have emerged as the next Chief Minister. It is pertinent to note that the government has also agreed to make Chaudhry Pervez Elahi Chief Minister after a vote of no confidence.

Another name for the chief ministership is PML-N leader Malik Ahmed Khan. Prior to this, Malik Ahmad Khan has been the spokesperson of PML-N. Khan belongs to Kasur and is a settled member of the Assembly.

Although Hamza Shahbaz’s spokesperson from PML-N said two days ago that Hamza Shahbaz will be the Chief Minister, on the other hand, a group from within PML-N has started supporting Malik Ahmed Khan instead of Hamza Shahbaz.

In case Shahbaz Sharif becomes the Prime Minister, Hamza Shahbaz will not be made the Chief Minister of Punjab. PPP will support the opposition in the seat of the Punjab Chief Minister and will try to make Pervez Elahi the Chief Minister. If Pervez Elahi cannot come as the Chief Minister then PPP will support Malik Ahmed Khan.
