Nine deaths from Coronavirus in Pakistan: NCOC #Baaghi

According to the latest statistics released by the National Command & Operation Center (NCOC), during the last 24-hours, most deaths occurred in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), followed by Punjab. 

Statistics show that nine death in-hospital deaths were reported in 24-hours, out of which two died on ventilators. Meanwhile, 313 people tested positive for Covid-19 on 9 December. 

Peshawar, Islamabad (ICT), Sargodha, and Lahore have confirmed the most occupied ventilator statistics with 19%, 11%, 10%, and 9% ratios, respectively. On the other hand, most oxygen beds are occupied in Multan, Sargodha, ICT, and Peshawar with 18%, 14%, 14%, and 12% ratios, respectively.

The total number of active coronavirus cases in Pakistan is reported to be 9,485 as of 10th December 2021. According to reports, 42,978 tests were conducted in the last 24-hours of which the following provincial statistics were confirmed: 

  • Sindh tested 9,732 people
  • Punjab tested 17,693 people
  • KP tested 9,324 people
  • ICT tested 5,082 people
  • Balochistan tested 647 people
  • Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) tested 267 people
  • Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) tested 233 people

According to the NCOC, 1,250,069 people have recovered since the outbreak in Pakistan in March 2020. Meanwhile, no ventilators are occupied in AJK, Balochistan, and GB regions and a total of 88 ventilators are facilitating Covid-19 patients in Pakistan. 

Moreover, a total of 1,288,366 cases have been detected so far with AJK at 34,600 cases, Balochistan at 33,522 cases, GB at 10,425 cases, ICT at 108,042 cases, KP at 180,564 cases, Punjab at 443,747 cases, and Sindh at 477,466 cases. The total death toll is reported to be 28,812 in Pakistan. 

Provincial mortality rates show Sindh at 7,631 (1 in-hospital on 9 Dec.) deaths, Punjab at 13,048 (2 in-hospital on 9 Dec.) deaths, KP at 5,879 (5 in-hospital on 9 Dec.) deaths, ICT at 962 (none on 9 Dec.) deaths, Balochistan at 363 (1 in-hospital on 9 Dec.) deaths, GB at 186 (none on 9 Dec.) deaths, and AJK at 743 (none on 9 Dec.) deaths. 

Additionally, a total of 22,428,325 tests have been conducted since the outbreak in March 2020. Meanwhile, 640 hospitals are actively facilitating 793 patients admitted due to Coronavirus, across the country.
