No-confidence motion: PML-Q assures firm support to PM
LAHORE: As political temperature in the country rise, PML-Q on Tuesday assured Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan of its steadfast support against the opposition’s no-confidence motion.
This was said in a meeting of PM Imran Khan with Chaudhry brothers in Lahore on Tuesday. Federal Minister for Water Resources, Moonis Elahi, Chaudhry Salik, Shafay Hussain, Husain Elahi, Muntaha Ashraf, Muhammad Khan Bhatti, Tariq Bashir Cheema were also present in the meeting.
Punjab Chief Minister, Sardar Usmna Buzdar, Federal Minister of Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry, Minister of Energy Hammad Azhar, Federal Minister of Education Shafqat Mehmood, Minister for Indusrties and Production Khusro Bakhtiar, PTI MNA Amir Dogar, Advisor for Commerce, Textile, Industry and Production, and Investment of Pakistan Abdul Razzak Dawood also attended the meeting.

According to sources, earlier today, the meeting between Siraj-ul-Haq and Chaudhry Shujaat, the head of the PML-Q Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain had said that both Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) are against Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi becoming Chief Minister (CM) of Punjab.
The sources further stated that a member of Jamat-e-Islami delegation asked the PML-Q head whether he has made up his mind about making Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi as Chief Minister of Punjab.
Speaker NA wants Punjab to constitute agriculture committee
On this, Chaudhry Shujaat said that if matters are settled then it takes no time to make up the mind, however, both PTI and PML-N are not in favour of appointing Pervaiz Elahi as CM of Punjab.
He went on to say that both parties fear that politicians who left PML-Q to join these parties will return back.
