‘No Landing Permission’: Hyderabad-Bound Lufthansa Flight Returns To Frankfurt Mid-Air

India: An official from Hyderabad Airport confirmed that the Lufthansa flight LH 752 returned to its origin (Germany), stating that a bomb threat was received while the aircraft was still outside Indian airspace. A bomb threat email targeting Lufthansa flight LH 752 was received at the Hyderabad airport at 6:01 pm on 15th June 2025. A bomb threat assessment committee was formed, and all procedures were followed as per SOP. In the interest of safety, the airline was advised to divert back to the origin or the nearest suitable airport, news agency ANI quotes official sources. A Lufthansa flight bound for Hyderabad from Frankfurt was forced to return to its base mid-air on Sunday, after passengers were told it was not permitted to land in India. Flight LH752, operated by a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, departed from Germany around 14.14 local time on Sunday and was scheduled to land at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport early Monday. Still, flight tracker data showed a diversion a few hours into the flight. A Frankfurt Airport spokesperson confirmed that LH752 had landed back in Germany.
