According to the report of Baaghi TV, while addressing the celebration of the new judicial year in the Supreme Court, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Gulzar Ahmad said that under the constitution and law, no one is allowed to suppress the independence of the judiciary.
Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Gulzar Ahmad said that the celebration of the new judicial year provides an opportunity to test the performance of the previous year. Without the full autonomy of judges it is not possible to protect the full delivery of justice to the people. All judges of the judiciary perform their duties under the Constitution and the law.
Chief Justice Gulzar Ahmed further said that as a judge on the one hand to be privileged on the other hand this position is a huge responsibility. When I became the Chief Justice, I felt that there were more pending cases in the Pakistani justice system. The court made important decisions on pending cases. The reason for pending cases is unnecessary delay.
Chief Justice Gulzar Ahmad further said that delivery of justice is the foundation of every civilized society. Justice is not just the name of determining rights but the name of establishing equality. In the eyes of the law, the rights of the people go beyond sex, religion and race. There is still a long way to go in the justice system.
Announcing the judicial policy of the new year, Chief Justice Gulzar Ahmad said that under the constitution and law, the independence of the judiciary is not allowed to suppress anyone. Every judge has taken an oath of office due to which he is bound to do justice. Being a judge is not only an honor but also a heavy responsibility to administer justice. I assure you that the Supreme Court will take all possible steps for the supremacy of the Constitution. The lawyers performed their duties with great courage and boldness during the Corona.
Chief Justice Gulzar Ahmed further said that new petitions were being filed in the Human Rights Cell of the Supreme Court. New applications are coming in but old ones are being heard.
