No Raise in Salaries but NAB Budget Raised

Baaghi TV reports that the Federal Government has increased the NAB Budget.

According to the budget documents, Rs 5,08,80,00,000 have been allocated to NAB for the coming fiscal year. In the fiscal year 2019-2020, Rs 4,42,00,00,000 had been allocated to NAB.

A raise of more than Rs 65 crore has been made in the NAB budget for fiscal year 2020-2021.

While presenting the budget in the National Assembly, Federal Minister Hammad Azhar observed that:

  • Our financial policies are for national welfare.
  • It is an honour for me to present the second budget by Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf.
  • The process of accountability will continue.
  • Our core mission is to revive the economy.
  • We took over at a time when the country was near bankruptcy.
  • The current account deficit was US $20,000,000,000 and the budget deficit had reached                Rs 23,00,00,00,00,000
  • During the current fiscal year there has been a 17% increase in FBR revenue.
  • The guiding principles during these two years were the wiping out of corruption and accountability.
  • We took the difficult road for reviving the economy.
  • Due to the heavy debt payments of past loans we were burdened with Rs 50,00,00,00,00,000.
  • We created job opportunities abroad for 10 lac Pakistanis.
  • 74% internal loans were converted to long-term loans.
  • We have stopped taking loans from the State Bank for budget financing.
  • In order to facilitate Foreign Direct Investment, we instituted an Ease of Doing Business policy.
