Baaghi TV: According to the reports, Accountability Court heard the case against accused Mir Shakeel, owner of Jang and Geo, arrested in illegal plot allotment case. The court issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for Nawaz Sharif.
Foreign Ministry ordered to execute non-bailable warrant of accused Nawaz Sharif through Pakistan High Commission in London. The court extended the judicial remand of accused Mir Shakeel till September 17.
Model Town Police Station Inspector Bashir Ahmed presented the report of Nawaz Sharif’s arrest warrant. He reported that accused Mian Nawaz Sharif is not present at Model Town residence.
Nawaz Sharif’s warrant issued, remand of Mir Shakeel-ur-Rehman extended
The report stated that at the Model Town residence, PML-N Deputy Secretary Ata Tarar confirmed that the accused was abroad and at Nawaz Sharif’s Raiwind residence, the secretary of the accused said that Nawaz Sharif has been abroad for 6 months.
The NAB has filed references against Mir Shakeel, Nawaz Sharif, former DG LDA Humayun Faiz Rasool and Bashir Ahmed.
NAB prosecutor said that accused Mir Shakeel obtained 54 plots of one kanal on exemption with the connivance of then Chief Minister Nawaz Sharif. Accused’s acquisition of plot in the same area on exemption is a violation of Execution Policy 1986.
NAB prosecutor further stated that accused Mir Shakeel also included 2 streets in allotted plots with the connivance of Nawaz Sharif. Accused Mir Shakeel transferred the plot in the name of his wife and minor children to cover up his crime.
