According to Baaghi TV reports, the Noor Muqaddam murder case was heard in Sessions Court Islamabad. Accused Zahir Jaffer’s lawyer, submitted a USB (universal serial bus) to the court, stating that it contains videos related to Jaffer and Noor Muqaddam.

According to Baaghi TV reports, the main accused Zahir Jaffer was presented in court where he claimed innocence and states that he and his associates are being dragged into the case due to the plaintiff’s influence. According to Zahir Jaffer’s statement in the court, 27-year-old Noor Muqaddam forced him to book a flight to the United States (US) and promised that she would travel with him. Jaffer added, Noor called our friends and asked them to buy the tickets, we left for the airport but Noor turned the taxi towards the house and I couldn’t stop her.

In his statement to the court, Jaffer claimed that on the 20th of July, he arranged a party and invited their friends where he became intoxicated by the drugs and lost consciousness. “When I came to, I saw police officers dressed in uniform and in regular clothes, and later found out that Noor had been killed by someone at the party”, stated Zahir Jaffer, the main accused. Moreover, Jaffer said, “My parents are innocent, [but] because of the influence of the plaintiff I have been involved and the state machinery has been used against me”.

During the hearing, lawyer Asad Jamal said, a copy of the ticket has not been presented on which lawyer Shehryar Nawaz rebutted that it has been provided. Plaintiff Nisar Asghar asked if the video clips would be provided? Lawyer Asad Jamal said yes they provide you too. The lawyers said that Sikander Zulqrnain will arrive tomorrow, by 11 o’clock.

Zakir Jaffer’s lawyer, Advocate Basharatullah argued that in the initial FIR, only Zahir Jaffar was the accused. Tahir Zahoor and Jan Mohammad were named in the August 8 statement. Meanwhile, Zakir Jaffer, Ismat Adamjee, Iftikhar, and Jameel were arrested on the 24th. Shaukat Muqaddam’s statement was read in the court, “Noor said going to Lahore with friends, while Zahir said Noor is not with me. There is no record of it”. It is said that the 19-year-old daughter was not at home for 2 days. Sadly, the daughter of one has gone and the old father of the other has been put in jail.

Basharatullah further said that, according to DVR, Noor Muqaddam went by herself and was not kept in custody unnecessarily. CDR (Call Detail Record) of all the accused was not taken. The investigating officer did not take any fingerprints from the spot, there is no evidence against us except CDR. The lawyer further argued that while there were 16 pages on July 27, Zakir Jaffer’s CDR was edited, because the parents had to be nominated. Five pages of the plaintiff and 3 pages of the accused’s CDR are missing. The record is tampered with and does not have the signature of the CDR giver, who provided the data is not the signature.

The main accused’s lawyer said that the tenth witness is Dr. Shazia. This is the first of its kind case, where it is not known who performed the autopsy. Dost Mohammad ASI is the eleventh witness and it is true that signatures on the export memo are not the same. The lawyer said that the administrative machinery was attached, that the main accused was on interim bail and was arrested by the investigator who acted in a hurry but did not sign the extradition memo. Individuals are being made by name, all three have different writing and signatures.

According to the lawyer, the twelfth witness Muhammad Jaber says he took the data from seven phones. However, Jabar did not present the numbers in the court, from which he presented the data. During the hearing, the judge questioned the presence of the main accused in court on which, Advocate Bashratullah said that he needs to remain present. In addition, on 22 September, the data of 14 October is presented by the witness. The lawyer said that the 15th witness ASI Zubair Mazhar did not reveal the presence of the accused. Zubair Mazhar also did all the work in the police station. Had he been present at the scene, he would have confirmed the presence of the accused and the victim. The witness of the statement of 161 is someone else, and the government has presented Mudassar Alam for it.

Lawyer Asad Jamal said that he has accepted the investigation, Noor Muqaddam’s data was collected till 10 am on July 20, which is one page. Our data is 56 pages, I would come back if I was guilty. The lawyer said that Zakir Jafar was interrogated from the 20th to the 23rd. What evidence came by the 24th that he was arrested? On July 22, he was accused of holding illegal weapons, for which I presented the license. There is evidence of a 10-minute call on July 20th between me and the plaintiff. Why not inform the court? The investigating officer says that in the investigation, the plaintiff did not say what was discussed with Zakir Jaffer.

Advocate Basharatullah, who is representing Zakir Jaffer the co-accused in the Noor Muqaddam murder case, completed the final arguments. Additional Sessions Judge Ata Rabbani directed the lawyers of the other accused to give arguments by February 16.

Shaukat Muqaddam’s, 27-year-old daughter who was killed in the jurisdiction of Kohsar police station Islamabad, while giving a statement regarding the murder said he had received a call from Kohsar police station that his daughter had been killed. He added that when “I arrived at the scene, my daughter’s throat was slit”.

According to Baaghi TV reports, a case of murder of Noor Muqaddam has been registered in Kohsar police station. Police say a case has been registered under Section 302 of the IPC on the complaint of the girl’s father Shaukat Ali Muqaddam.
