Noor Muqaddam murder case, hearing adjourned without proceedings

Dec 15, 2021: The hearing in the Noor Muqaddam murder case has beenadjourned without hearing due to leave of Additional Sessions Judge.
Additional Sessions Judge Ata Rabbani is on leave in connection with a course. The hearing of the case has been adjourned till next week. Sessions Judge Ata Rabbani is hearing the case continuously. The hearing will be held in a week’s time. The hearing of Noor-e-Muqaddam murder case is being held on Wednesday with mutual consultation of the parties. Strict security arrangements have been made to ensure the hearing goes smoothly.
The main accused in the Noor Muqaddam murder case, Zahir Jaffer’s lawyer Sikandar Zulqarnain who is a former judge of Lahore High Court has submitted his power of attorney. The petition filed in the court of Additional Sessions Judge Attarbani further said that the complainants are influential persons and therefore the police deliberately concealed the mental condition of the main accused Zahir Jaffer. Zahir Jaffer’s lawyer also asked for formation of a medical board from the court. He also requested a check-up and evaluation.
