Notification of New Constitution of PCB Issued

The Federal Government has issued a notification regarding the new constitution of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

The chairman of PCB under, the new constitution, is given more powers. Chairman PCB will be answerable to the Board of Governors under the new constitution. Under the new constitution, the Prime Minister will be able to give a policy guide line to the cricket board.

The Prime Minister’s powers regarding the removal of the PCB chairman from the new constitution, which were given in the 2014 constitution of the PCB, have been reportedly abolished.

The federal cabinet approved the new PCB constitution this month.

It should be noted that in the past, Najam Sethi and Zaka Ashraf have been removed as Chairman PCB by the office of Prime Minister.
