April 30, 2022: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has announced a reduction in liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) prices for May 2022.
According to the details, OGRA has reduced the price of LPG by Rs 15.27 per kg, after which price of the domestic cylinder of 11.8 kg came down to Rs 180.28. The new price of one kg of LPG has been fixed at Rs 231.85 while the new price of domestic cylinder has been fixed at Rs 2735.83.
It should be noted that in April last month, the cost of a domestic cylinder of LPG was Rs 2916.11. The new LPG prices are applicable from May 1, 2022.
Earlier, the Finance Ministry had issued a notification to maintain the prices of petroleum products.
The Finance Ministry said that the price of petrol has been maintained at Rs 149.86 per liter, while the price of high speed diesel has been maintained at Rs 144.15 per liter.
According to the finance ministry, the price of kerosene oil has been fixed at Rs 125.56 per liter and light diesel at Rs 118.31 per liter. The Finance Ministry said the prices would be applicable from May 1, 2022 to May 15, 2022.
