KARACHI: The Sindh Home Department has issued an order regarding collection of sacrificial skins on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha, according to which only registered charities and religious madrassas can collect skins.

According to details, a notification issued by the Sindh Home Department said that it would be prohibited to collect sacrificial skins without the permission of the commissioner and deputy commissioners.

Individuals and institutions with a 2019 permit can also collect skins. According to the Sindh Home Department, only registered charities and madrassas can collect sacrificial skins.

Holders of licenses should submit a plan to the Deputy Commissioner’s Office to collect skins. Camps for collecting skins, erection of banners will be banned, use of loudspeakers for collection of skins will be banned.

Collecting skins on vehicles will also be banned, while collecting skins by force and at gunpoint will be an unbearable crime.

The Sindh Home Department has clarified that arms licenses will also be suspended on the days of sacrifice, those who collect skins will have to carry identity cards and permits, and the skins collected in violation of government orders will be confiscated.
