ISLAMABAD, Sep 08 (Online): Pakistan Navy spokesperson has said operation Somnath is second name of India’s defeat in War-1965.

A statement issued here Tuesday Pakistan Navy spokesperson has said it was imperative to destroy Dwarka to render Indian Air Force attacks ineffective. It was also necessary to force Indian Navy out from Harbour so that they could be targetted by Pakistan sub marine Ghazi. Prohibition for making no communication contact during operation had made it more uphill. At midnight all the ships had come close to Dwarka coast. Order to fire was given at 12.2 and the guns started emitting fire. Radar station along with staff was completely destroyed due to persistent attacks.

 The spokesperson further said Indian Air Force attacks came to halt abruptly in the wake of destruction of radar station .

Pakistan naval fleet had dealt a crushing defeat to enemy in its own waters.
