ISLAMABAD, Sep 20 (APP):Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Humayun Akhtar Khan Friday asked opposition parties to sincerely perform its constructive role in Parliament and should focus on burning issue of Kashmir as now was the time to take and implement timely decisions on Kashmir.
At present, Pakistan is facing critical situations that can only be overcome through national
unity, he said while speaking to PTV news channel. He said that instead of making hue and cry on the arrest of their leaders, the opposition parties should raise the voice for the rights of Kashmiri people.
He said we should give a united message to the entire world and Parliament stands shoulder-to-shoulder with their Kashmiri brethren.
He advised opposition parties not to waste their time in efforts to derail the federal government as we have five years public mandate and we are determined to serve public at any cost.
He said opposition should come forward and join hands with the government to smoothly run the country matters and provide relief to the people of country.
“The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government firmly believes that the solution of Pakistan’s problems lies in the continuation of democracy in the country and prime minister Imran Khan has taken important measures to strengthen democratic institutions of the country”, he added.
Replying a Question regarding NAB ongoing cases, he said that National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is an independent institution and functioning as per its law.
We are satisfied with the proceedings of the accountability process, and its for the first time in Pakistan’s history, the accountability system is not influenced by any political interference.
He pledged that the accountability proceedings will continue and the corrupt will be held accountable for plundering the nation’s wealth.
Leader said NAB is totally independent national institute working freely without any government influence and we have no interests of any NAB arrests as we believed on across the board accountability process.
He said PTI leadership will never ever compromise on the process of accountability adding, we will continue to support these NAB cases against corrupt politicians.
He stated that prime minister Imran Khan would not make any deal or give national reconciliation ordinance (NRO) to any element involved in corruption cases.
He criticized it was the previous practices of the PML-N and PPP governments to put pressure on national institutes and get their personal interests.
Talking about JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazal-Ur-Rehman, he advised that Maulana sahib should show maturity in his politics as we are passing through a critical situations.
He should play his role to reform society instead of promoting chaos in country while protests.
Fazl Ur Rehman is a senior politician and he knows today government is just busy with the issue of Kashmir. He requested him that he should announce his upcoming rally in favor of Kashmiris instead of personal agendas.
