The video which is approximately two minutes and ten seconds long, highlights the concern of parents who feel burdened by the need to acquire costly book lists at the start of the academic year in the hopes of providing their children access to quality education. Mr. Durrani argues that parents are forced into buying stationary and book packs from the school appointed book shops and centers for a larger amount as compared to getting the same at a considerably lesser rate from any other center.

Moreover, he points out that the Karachi branch of the school, namely Beacon House, has compiled book packs imported from China inevitably profiting from the increased value. He argues that the book shop owners and the school mafia are partners in crime who are both profiting through the over-charged product prices.

As can be observed in the video, Mr. Durrani, argues that the pack compiled for students of second grade are approximately worth Rs. 11,400/-. He adds that the stationary primarily costs nearly Rs. 4,000/- if acquired from stores appointed by the school while the same bought from other sources can be bought for almost Rs. 1,200/-, which is one-third of the amount.

In addition to this, he argues that the stationary pack for third grade students is approximately worth Rs. 13,700/-.

Mr. Imran Durrani has further appealed to the Prime Minister and the Government of Pakistan to take notice of this issue since top schools are turning acquisition of education into a business, creating hurdles for parents who wish to provide quality education to their children.
