Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday held talks with Indian Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh in connection with the heinous terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam on April 22.

They held the talks at the Prime Minister’s official residence at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg. This meeting took place after PM Modi held individual meetings with the Navy Chief and the Army Chief earlier.

Earlier on Saturday, Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi met the prime minister and briefed him on the overall situation in the critical sea lanes in the Arabian Sea.

Earlier this week, Modi had a meeting with the chief of all three wings of the Indian military in New Delhi. This meeting was also attended by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, and Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan.

Last week, Modi told the top defence brass that the armed forces have “complete operational freedom” to decide on the mode, targets and timing of India’s response to the attack. He also met Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi after this announcement.
