Pak Army sacked three officers from Service: ISPR

RAWALPINDI, Oct 11: Three officers of Pakistan Armed Forces were dismissed from service after court martial.

According to DG ISPR Major General Asif Ghafoor, Three Major Rank officers were discussed from duty after being found guilty for misconduct and misuse of power. DG ISPR said in a media statement that all three officers were of Major Rank and were punished after court Martial, they accept charges and punished with dismissal from Army.

“Upon being found guilty of charges leveled against them, all three were dismissed from service while two were also awarded rigorous imprisonment for two years each,” a statement on the matter read by Major General Asif Ghafoor.

In May Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa punished 2 officers with death and one with life imprisonment on the charges of espionage/leakage of sensitive information to foreign agencies’  risking national security.

“The officers were tried under Pakistan Army Act (PAA) and Official Secret Act by separate Field General Court Marshal (FGCM) for separate cases,” according to the ISPR.
