Rain forced the umpires to call for an early lunch with Pakistan at 41/0, trailing England by 269 runs in the third test match at Southampton.

According to the details, Pakistan is facing defeat in the Test series in England after ten years. On the fourth day of the third and final test in Southampton, Pakistan is playing the second innings after the follow-on.

Pakistan’s openers Shan Masood and Abid Ali are on the crease, Masood has scored 13 and Ali scored 22 runs, but the match has been stopped due to rain.

In pursuit of England’s mountain-like runs, Pakistani team faltered

In reply to England’s first innings score of 583, Pakistan team was bowled out for 273 in the first innings. Captain Azhar Ali scored an unbeaten 141 runs in the first innings. Pakistan needs 310 more runs to end England’s lead and avoid an innings defeat.

In this regard, the wicket keeper-batsman of the national team Mohammad Rizwan said that if they get a lead of 150 runs against England, they can be in a position to win the match.

Demonstrating responsible batting in the Southampton Test, Pakistani captain Azhar Ali completed his century and became the fifth Pakistani to score 6,000 runs in Test cricket. He did so in the first innings of the third Test against England.
