Rawalpindi: According to a statement issued by the Public Relations Department (ISPR) of the Pakistan Army, the two-day 78th Formation Commanders Conference was held under the chairmanship of Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa.

According to ISPR, corps commanders, principal staff officers and all formation commanders of the Pakistan Army attended the conference.

The conference also reviewed professional matters, the merging tribal districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and issues related to the construction and development of Balochistan, the ISPR said.

ISPR said that the participants were briefed on the current geo-strategic environment, challenges facing national security and new technologies in line with modern requirements.

The ISPR also said that at the conference, the Army Chief expressed satisfaction over the ongoing stabilization operations across the country and the achievements of Operation Anti-Corruption.

The ISPR added that the conference participants paid rich tribute to the sacrifices made by the nation, especially the people of the tribal areas, in the war on terror.
