Pakistan backs India for UNSC non-permanent seat.

Fifty-five states of Asia-Pacific group, including Pakistan, has unanimously endorsed India’s nomination as non-permanent member of UNSC for 2 year term.
According to the reports of Baaghitv, 55 states from Asia-Pacific region have endorsed India’s candidature as non-permanent member of United Nations Security Council (UNSC) for two year term. In the interesting turn of event, Pakistan also endorsed India’s nomination as a non-permanent member of UNSC. This news was broken by India’s envoy to United Nations (UN) Syed Akbaruddin.
Syed Akbaruddin thanked all the states for supporting India’s candidature. He wrote on twitter, “A unanimous step. Asia-Pacific Group @UN unanimously endorses India’s candidature for a non-permanent seat of the Security Council for a 2-year term in 2021/22″.
Prior to this, India has also been a non-permanent member of UNSC for seven times in the past.
