Pakistan Beats India in High-Voltage T20 World Cup match

Pakistan makes history by beating India in a World Cup match

Pakistan beats India by ten wickets in both teams’ first Super 12 game in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 at the Dubai International Stadium, Dubai.

According to the details, Pakistan openers Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan set up a strong platform in search of a first-ever World Cup win over India. Pakistani skipper Babar Azam played a brilliant knock of 68 on 52 deliveries, while Muhammad Rizwan scored 79 runs in 55 balls.

This is the first ever victory of team Pakistan against India in any cricket World Cup match.

Earlier Virat Kohli produced a captain’s knock to help India recover from a shaky start to set Pakistan 152 to win in the crunch Group 2 game in Dubai.

Kohli’s 57 off 48 deliveries was his 29th T20 half-century for India and his 10th at World Cups, and came at a particularly important time for his team after a fiery opening spell from Shaheen Shah Afridi blew apart the top order.

Afridi produced two stunning deliveries to get Pakistan off to a flier, after Babar Azam had won the toss and opted to bowl first. The 21-year-old’s rocket of a yorker had Rohit Sharma trapped plumb in front for a first-ball duck inside the opening over. The Pakistan left-armer bagged the scalp of KL Rahul in his second over, swinging one back through the gate at high pace to castle the opener’s stumps.

Suryakumar Yadav’s short-lived counter-attack was ended by a brilliant catch by Mohammad Rizwan off Hasan Ali. But Kohli anchored India’s recovery, helping his side to 60/3 at the midway point of the innings, before upping the scoring rate in the second half of the innings.

Pakistan v India: Clash of the titans as fiercest of rivals meet again

Pakistan opted to field in their first match of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 against India at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Indian skipper Virat Kohli said he’d have bowled as well had he won the toss.

This is the first T20I between the two arch-rivals since the 2016 T20 World Cup where India emerged victorious by six wickets in Kolkata. While the emotions are sure to be high, both India and Pakistan will be eager to get their T20 World Cup campaign off to a perfect start by putting two points on board.
