Pakistan Foreign Office clears its stance in Armenia-Azerbaijan issue
Islamabad, 2nd October: A Foreign Office spokesman said that the news about the Pakistani army fighting for Armenia in Azerbaijan was baseless.
The Foreign Office spokesman said that such reports were irresponsible and could harm the peace and order of the entire region.
Pakistan is concerned about the deteriorating security situation in the Nagorno-Karabakh region. The shelling is reprehensible, Armenia must stop its operations to avoid threats to peace and security in the region.
Foreign Office Spokesman Zahid Hafeez further said that Pakistan supports Azerbaijan’s position on Nagorno-Karabakh. Armenia should immediately suspend military action to avoid tension as Azerbaijan’s position is in accordance with Security Council resolutions.
