Pakistan, on Sunday, announced that it will grant a consular access to the Indian spy, Kulbhushan Jadhav who is on a death row in the country on the charges of terrorism and espionage in line with the International Court of Justice (ICJ) judgment.
Earlier this year, in July, The Hague-based ICJ rejected India’s request for the release of Kulbhushan Jadhav. However, the international court asked Pakistan to provide consular access to him under the Article 36, Paragraph 1(b) of the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations.
Following the order of ICJ, Pakistan, being a responsible entity, opened the door of consular access to Jadhav according to the country’s laws.
