For the first time in United Nations (UN) history, Pakistan also joined the Multinational Joint Medal Parade.
According to details, Lt. Gen. Marcos Affonso da Costa, force commander of the UN Stabilization Mission in Congo, saw the multinational joint medal parade held at the Pakistan Army contingent headquarters in the Republic of Congo.
According to DG ISPR, Pakistan Army has the most helpful soldiers in the UN, and for the first time in UN history, the Multinational Joint Medal Parade held to honor the UN Medal, also had Pakistan’s participation in it. The Parade was attended by units from China, Indonesia, and Uruguay.
The event showcased unarmed combat exercises, cultural shows, and military band exhibitions as a way to display and promote culture.
In keeping tradition alive, Pakistani peacekeepers have always distinguished themselves by doing their utmost to maintain peace and stability in conflict zones. A large number of military and civilian dignitaries also participated in the event.
