Pakistan, Russia reaffirm commitment to enhance military ties

The second session of the Russia-Pakistan Joint Military Consultative Committee (JMCC) was held in Moscow on Tuesday, reported Baaghitv.

According to reports of Baaghitv, the second session of the Russian-Pakistan Joint Military Consultative Committee (JMCC), the highest forum of defence collaboration between Pakistan and Russia,  was held in Moscow on Tuesday, where both sides reaffirmed their commitments to enhance military ties, and exchanged views on bilateral relations and convergence  of views on various international issues.

The Pakistani delegation was led by Defence Secretary Lt. General (retd.) Ikram-ul-Haq while the Russian delegation was led by Russian Deputy Defence Minister Colonel General Alexander V Fomin.

The statement issued after the meeting of delegation reads, both sides discussed areas of mutual interest including joint military exercises, intelligence cooperation and issues relating to defence industrial cooperation.

Both sides agreed to ensure follow up of the meeting and implementation of the decisions taken during the meeting as the session concluded.
