Islamabad (14th Aug, 2019): President Dr. Arif Alvi stated, “Pakistan stands with Kashmir and will continue to do so”.
According to Baaghi TV’s reports, addressing the celebration of Independence Day in Islamabad, President Arif Alvi stated that today is a day of great importance in the national history. He said, that we must set aside our personal interests and look towards reform of national interests. The nation stands with their Kashmiri brothers and will continue to do so.
President Alvi continue to say that, Pakistan considers Kashmir’s sorrows to be a personal loss. He added that Pakistan does not accept the decision of the Indian government to change the status of Kashmir, as this action negates the provisions of the Simla agreement.
Moreover, he stated that Pakistan will continue to fight for the Kashmiri cause at every forum, “Pakistan will never withdraw from their support of Kashmiris. After India’s decision to revoke article 370 and 35A, Pakistan will take the matter to the United Nations. He further stated that while Muslims do not wish to start war, they will not back down when war is imposed upon them.
President Alvi continued his address by stating that India should not take lightly the offer for peace from Pakistan, adding that, “the minorities of India are only now beginning to realize the significance of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s Two Nation Theory” that stated Muslims and Hindus are separate nations on basis of religion.
It is to be noted that Pakistan is celebrating its 73rd Independence as a United Kashmir across the country. While PM Modi’s government has abolished Kashmir’s special status, Pakistan has also ceased all trade and dealings with India as a response, declaring its solidarity with Kashmir and its people.
