Pakistan Sweet Home Sets Up Blood Bank for Thalassemia Patients

RAWALPINDI, Feb 07 (APP): Pakistan Sweet Home on Sunday set up a “Papajani” Blood Bank in the National Ayub Park to provide timely blood to Thalassemia patients and to save their lives.

Addressing on the occasion, Head of Pakistan Sweet Home, Zamurrad Khan said it became hard to fulfil the blood requirements of Thalassemia patients due to COVID19 so, Pakistan Sweet Home has set up the blood bank camp.

“We will go all over the country to save the lives of these children”, he said, adding that collecting blood for Thalassemia and Haemophilia patients is a noble cause.

Zamurrad Khan also lauded the spirit of all those who donated blood for the noble cause. On the occasion, Brigadier Nuzhat from Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology (AFIC), appreciated the work of Zamurrad Khan for establishing the blood camp. She said the AFIC team would continue to co-operate with them, adding, “I am happy that women are also contributing to this camp. Healthy women can also donate blood without any hesitation,” she said.

Donating blood does not affect the health of any healthy person, she added.
