Pakistan Telecommunication Association Dismisses Advertisement
LAHORE (24th Nov, 2019): Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has clarified that the advertisement circulating via WhatsApp chat groups for users of a mobile operator is totally fake.
According to reports of Baaghi TV, PTA took to Twitter and shared a series of tweet for the users. They wrote, “PTA is aware of a false advertisement circulating via WhatsApp chat groups for users of a mobile operator. PTA clarifies that the aforementioned advertisement is fake.”

PTA also urges users to refrain from circulating such fake news since it might generate confusion and inconvenience for consumers.

In another tweet, they wrote, “The public is advised to always check official information sources such as PTA’s website at pta.gov.pk or its Twitter & Facebook page for latest news/updates.”

Reportedly, a fake news regarding the ban on Telenor sim by PTA is circulating on WhatsApp. However, PTA has finally clarified that this advertisement is totally fake.
On the other hand, Telenor officials has also clarified that this is totally a fake news. While replying to one of the users on Twitter, they wrote, “This is completely fake. Telenor Pakistan is fully committed to the people of Pakistan and will continue to provide quality services to its valued customers in years to come. Thank you for reaching out to us!”
