Pakistan, UK militaries hold strategic dialogue for bilateral cooperation

London 25th June: The heads of military’s of Pakistan and the UK met on Monday. A delegation met to discuss geo-strategic environment and bilateral military cooperation.
According to the ISPR, UK’s Chief of Defence Staff General Sir Nick Carter recieved Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Bajwa, who is in Britain on an official visit. He visited the Ministry of Defence as well.
On Sunday, the Army chief and the DG ISPR Major General Asif Ghafoor watched the cricket match at the Lord’s stadium to support Pakistan in their World Cup match against South Africa.
The COAS, reached London on June 20, his last visit to the UK was in October 2018.
According to a statement issued by the ISPR, Gen Qamar Bajwa is said to discuss matters of “mutual interest” which will include evolving geo-strategic environment, defence and security.
